Harold and Maude

Write an essay interpreting the film from a Buddhist perspective.

Be sure to address the issues of suffering (dukkha), desire and grasping for permanence (tanha), mindfulness and death.

Viewing: 8:00 PM on Monday, March 1 in Library 321.

Format: three full pages, double-spaced, 12 point font, 1” margins. At the top of page one, put only your name, followed on the same line by “Harold and Maude: A Buddhist Interpretation”.

The essay is due on March 10 in the tray outside of my office
